In Brazil the original Transformers comics from marvel were released by Rio Gráfica Editora (RGE) for 12 issues before the company rebranded as Editora Globo and rebranded the comic to Transformers Especial for 10 more issues. In keeping with how the line was presented in the region the battle was not between Autobot and Decepticon but factions called "Optimus" and "Malignus.
